At the HOGs’ annual outdoor meeting on June 10th, Scott Merkin, senior sports journalist for MLB.com and the longest-tenured beat writer for the Chicago White Sox, provided the HOGs with great insights on the team and other sports subjects too.
On June 4, 2026 several HOGs participated in a very informative back of the store tour of Abt Electronics which included Abt’s new warehouse and recycling facilities.
Chicago White Sox Senior Vice President and General Manager Chris Getz visited the HOGs on April 22nd and offered a very optimistic view of the team’s future. The HOGs enjoyed a private lunch meeting on September 12, 2024 with popular Chicago radio and TV celebrity Bob Sirott.
The HOGs spent a very enjoyable and productive morning on May 7th volunteering, for the second time in the past year, at the ARK Food Pantry warehouse.
