Barry Lamden invited State Representative Carol Sente to speak at Aug HOGs luncheon. Since she is retiring at end of this year, Carol provided HOGs members with an interesting “inside” look at what has happened during her 8 years in Springfield and especially for the last couple years. Burt Litwin presented her with a HOGs hat as part of her “political retirement.”

BIG shout out thank you to Burt Litwin who created the slideshow/video he put together of our HOGs fabulous trip last week to Springfield (featuring music from The Civil War), led by our own expert guide, Mike Shapiro. Kudos to Mike for a great job, planning, narrating, and educating. They all came away with an enhanced appreciation of our State’s history and the important contributions and sacrifices (including the ultimate sacrifice) made by President Lincoln under the most difficult circumstances.
